The LuLaRoe Mariah Dress

The LuLaRoe Mariah Dress

I want to tell you about one of my most favorite dresses from LuLaRoe—it’s the Maria dress. I think some of you know that I like to travel. I love traveling with the Maria. It doesn’t really wrinkle and it is so easy to pack. It’s super versatile to dress up or down. Best of all, it is SO comfortable. I love looking cute and feelings this comfortable at the same time.

The LuLaRoe Maria is a loose fitting maxi dress that comes in florals, stripes, solids, and even a cool leopard pattern. It has cap sleeves and a high neckline. I love the neckline because if you are bending over grabbing luggage or helping small children, you know you are covered! It also looks great with any kind of a statement necklace. The Maria has a flattering fit through the waist and has a high/low hemline which is nice because it makes walking easier and lets you show off those cute shoes I know you are wearing.

The dress is ankle length, so it can be almost too long on short women. If you are short, you’ve got some options. The easiest is to knot the Maria on one side, a little bit higher than your ankle. You can use a hair band to hold the knot in place, so you don’t have to worry about it coming apart as you walk. You can also get the Maria hemmed.

The Maria is so versatile. I almost can’t even name all the possible combinations and different looks you can achieve with a Maria, but I will try!

You can add accessories like a scarf, a necklace, or a belt. I really love a fairly slim belt. I think it defines the waist nicely and dresses up the Maria.
You can add a denim jacket to your accessories. I think a denim jacket is a must for every woman. I love jackets that aren’t too boxy. The best ones have a little tailoring to them and a little stretch.

If it’s cold, you can add a Sarah cardigan. The Sarah is long sleeved and calf length. It looks elegant but adds a lot of warmth.

If it’s warm, you could add a Shirley kimono or a Joy vest. The Shirley kimono comes in some light-weight, flowy materials that add interest to a Maria without adding bulk or making you too hot. It just hangs open. The Joy is a long vest with slits up the sides. I love how it looks with a solid-colored Maria underneath. You could wear a belt under or over the top of either.

You may think this is crazy, but try putting a LuLaRoe Tee on backwards on top of a LuLaRoe Maria. Then knot the end and pull it up to about your bra line. It totally changes the look of the Maria and is so flattering because your waist is defined at your high waist. The neck of the backward Tee is a boat neck which is really flattering.

Grab a Maria. If you want a fun dress for spring AND a versatile dress all year long, the Maria is for you!
